Communities are affected by criminal justice policies. Incarceration and reentry are concentrated in poor communities, especially poor communities of color.
This concentration of correctional activity has a series of consequences for community quality of life, and poses challenges for the justice system that are best met through an emerging interest in the ideals of "community justice." |
