• Received the Distinguished Faculty Award of the National Council of Juvenile and Family Court Judges, June, 1993.

• Received the Valorous B. Clear Award for Excellence in Probation, presented by the Indiana Judicial Center, April, 1993.

• Received 1986 "Cincinnati Award" of The American Probation and Parole Association for outstanding contribution to the field of probation and parole by a non-practitioner.

• Named 1986 State University of New York Nelson A. Rockefeller School of Public Affairs "Alumnus of the Year" for scholarship in criminal justice.
